Hello You! How’s your week going? Me and the boy Jonathan (‘I’m a grown-up man! I’ve got a pension and everything!’) were meant to be going to a music festival this weekend but Covid seems to have had other ideas. We’re currently playing a game of ‘Can we? Can we not?’ Only time and the little grey line (or rather the lack of it) will tell! If we do get to go it’ll be the first festival since 2019 and I’ll be so excited to be there!! I know it’s not for everyone but for me there’s so much to love about being together with a load of friends, dancing under the stars to good music, glitter on smiling faces under the obligatory festival hats. You can’t beat it! By the way, a ‘festival hat’ is a hat that would never see the light of day anywhere else but which takes on a supercool status when worn over unwashed hair in a field. But it’s fine. What happens at festival. Stays at festival. * It may just be for a few days but when you get away from all the ‘stuff’ we surround ourselves with day in and day out you get a true sense of what you need to feel a sense of connection. It may be different for you but for me, it’s the people I love, fresh air, spaciousness, music, and creativity. When we strip our life back to the things that really matter, it’s amazing how much we can do without. Although, to be honest, there is a limit to how long I’m prepared to go without shampoo! And on the subject of paring back to feel more connected ….
